ABOUT US

Father, Jeryn, has been making fine, custom furniture for several decades. A now retired police officer and educator, Jeryn enjoys perfecting his woodworking skills and building new pieces for customers in southern Michigan. Taking after his father, Eric began to explore the art of woodworking and furniture design after moving to the country in central Michigan. Now, Father and Son collaborate and work together to create unique and creative furniture to meet any need, design, or desire.

OUR WORK

Everything we make is custom designed to meet the needs of each home or business where the piece will reside. From tables of all types to benches, beds, counter-tops, and much more, our work can help you achieve your design goals. Our styles range from Victorian, modern, and colonial to rustic, shabby-chic, industrial, and mid-century, but our skills can accommodate your most creative ideas. We also enjoy working with unusual materials including live-edge slabs, spalted hardwoods, or unusual metals or tile.

The Garden is a massive, custom designed U-shaped cash wrap created for The Yarn Garden in Charlotte, Michigan. The top is made from three slabs of white pine and the base is a mixture of reclaimed kitchen cabinets and black steel pipe shelving. One side of the U has a raised counter at bar height to accommodate stools. The most unique feature is the rock river carved into the front edge of one of the slabs. It's a great conversation piece that can be interactive too. We were even able to make some other pieces of furniture from the left over cut-ends of the giant slabs. It was an exciting privilege to build this unique centerpiece from concept design to finished work.

FEATURED CREATIONS

The Wellness is a centerpiece conference table built for a new business in Owosso, Michigan. The table is made from a three-inch slab of Michigan's state tree, White Pine, with an inlay of aromatic cedar in the middle. The Wellness maintains a dramatic live edge along each eight foot edge and legs are made from stately two-inch black steel pipe.

The Wellness is a live edge, focal point conference table providing more than thirty-two square feet of creative space while bringing nature into the work area.

The Monolith is a console table made from a solid three-inch slab of reclaimed black walnut. The legs are made from raw four-inch bar stock steel and cross underneath the slab for a unique look.

The Monolith provides a heavy, stately look mixed with restrained industrial style.

The Spalted Coffee is a coffee table made from a solid slab of heavily figured and spalted soft maple. The slab retains the live edges of the tree on both long sides. The legs on the table are simple raw steel hairpin-style legs.

The Spalted Coffee provides a truly unique look by mixing gorgeous rustic figure with mid-century styling.

The Curve is a console table made from a slab of black walnut that retains the curve from the outside of the tree. While no bark remains, the contrast between the sap wood and heart wood of the tree provides a beautiful table top. Legs are made from bent raw steel bar stock.

The Curve provides a contrasting light and dark top with natural curves for a balanced rustic vs. industrial style.
